RE: US and Canadian Duties on Alcohol

I crossed on the ferry the other day from Victoria to Port Angeles. We did a pre-clearance in Victoria. The only questions asked were if we had any lamb or goat meat, citrus fruit, and was our dog food in it's original bag, we had US made dog food. On the US side we were asked what was the purpose of our trip, and how long were we going to be in the country. We are now in St Regis Montana.

Interesting, "purpose of laws is to state them clearly so that people can understand them." Then I guess we don't need lawyers.

RE: US and Canadian Duties on Alcohol

Canada may be a small country with a small population, however the US is a smaller country in area than Canada. MM why not just stay home and drink your wine.

RE: US and Canadian Duties on Alcohol

Why is it a Canadian trick? I have been ask when I entered the US, how much alcohol, what meat and vegtables, what dog food, if you are going to cross the border have an idea what you are carrying. If you give a vague answer or a smart answer you will have problems.

RE: Price Of Diesel in Nova Scotia & New Brunswick

At least in Canada you can use your $US, try using $CND in US. The best thing to do is use the currency of the country that you are visiting.
